Mission

To bring the people of Cabo Verde, on the islands and in the diaspora, closer to the information, services and opportunities they need, with clear sources and no hidden intermediaries.

What we are building

• Sourced information

  Public institutions and services in São Vicente, each with the official source consulted and the date it was checked. Anything not confirmed is not shown.

• Activity directory

  Every activity on the island organised by area, searchable by text and, in supported browsers, by voice. Providers appear only after verification and with their consent.

• A presence for people who work

  Professionals, businesses, producers, associations and institutions in São Vicente can pre-register. Pre-registration publishes nothing automatically, and a basic listing is free.

• Followed-up requests

  Anyone looking for a product, a service or transport can prepare a request and send it to CVDN. During the pilot, the team looks for someone who can help.

How we work

1. Source before publishing. Every entry states where the information was read and when. Entries without a source stay under review.
2. Independence. CVDN is not a government portal and does not accept political parties or electoral campaigns (Statutes, art. 2).
3. Advertising kept apart. Any advertising will appear only in spaces marked "Publicidade" (advertising). Paying never changes the directory order.
4. Minimal data. The site has no first-party cookies and no analytics. We only receive what you choose to send us.
5. Room for people who are not online. Assisted registration, plain language and directions by landmarks.
